On  September 17, 2006  our  dog Claude died at age 12, a goodly  number in dog years for a Lab. The previous day after taking a long walk  he became inactive.  The next evening when he would not take Ice Cream  we went to the doggy emergency room  and were told he had a tumor in his abdomen. He did not make it through the night.

For Claude's many friends here are some pictures and a few of his best loved poems.
In lieu  of flowers,  feed a dog some table scraps or let your dog off the leash for a few minutes.

You gonna eat that?
    You gonna eat that?
        You gonna eat that?

        I'll eat that.

It is not true that we have anthropomorphized our dog!
